Product design
Cartage runs regional freight across the Great Lakes. Dispatchers assigned loads from a spreadsheet, a map tool and a text thread with drivers. We sat in the dispatch office for four days, mapped every hand-off, and designed a single board: unassigned loads on the left, the week's trucks and drivers in the middle, the detail drawer on the right.
Drivers got a tablet view with big stop cards and proof of delivery. The spec carried measurements for every column width and state, and weekly design QA kept the build honest. Dispatchers now handle thirty-one percent more loads per shift.
