Relay Legal builds a contract review workspace for in-house legal teams. Sales calls kept hearing that it was slow. We ran two rounds of moderated usability testing with ten lawyers and found the product was fast and the clause navigation was not. The redesign put the clauses in a right rail with risk pills, added a side-by-side comparison and a summary dashboard.
In the second round of testing, review time was down thirty-eight percent on the same contracts. Relay budgeted the next quarter on that number.
